Randy Couture vs Brock Lesnar
This main event of UFC 91, which features heavyweights Randy Couture and Brock Lesnar is probably one of the biggest heavyweight fights in UFC history. Of course, UFC Heavyweight champion Randy Couture is the heavy favorite with his many years of experience fighting in the UFC.
Brock Lesnar has had only 3 mixed martial arts fights in his MMA career, and is not at all that impressive at 2-1. He booked a big win against Heath Herring, but lost out to Frank Mir via submission during his UFC debut. There is no doubt that Brock Lesnar is a very capable athlete and has some very solid wrestling skills, and not just the wrestling skills of the WWE kind. Prior to his stint with WWE, Brock Lesnar was a very decorated college and pro wrestler, and certainly his huge frame makes him also capable of giving out some solid knock-out punches.
However, Brock Lesnar is going up against 5-time champion Randy Couture, who is only one of two fighters in the history of the UFC to hold UFC title belts in two weight classes - heavyweight and light heavyweight. Randy Couture is already in the UFC Hall-of-Fame, and is probably considered as one of the best mixed martial arts fighters of all time.
Randy Couture’s last two losses were to Chuck Liddell, when the two fought for the UFC light heavyweight title. Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture fought three times with Chuck Liddell getting the better of Randy Couture 2-1. Of course, Randy Couture still has an impressive MMA record of 14-8 and has been fighting in the UFC since 1997. Among the impressive wins of Randy Couture include victories over the likes of Vitor Belfort, Tim Sylvia, Gabriel Gonzaga, Tito Ortiz, Kevin Randleman, Maurice Smith and Pedro Rizzo.
I’ll put money on Randy Couture just because I know he can beat a very unexperienced Brock Lesnar.
Other fights to watch out for in UFC 91 include: Kenny Florian vs Joe Stevenson, Gabriel Gonzaga vs Josh Hendricks, Amir Sadollah vs Nick Catone and Demian Maia vs Nate Quarry.

A UFC middleweight bout between
Michael Bisping vs Chris Leben will be the main event of UFC 89, which will be held in Birmingham, England this coming October 18, 2008.
Michael Bisping has an impressive 16-1-1 record, winning his last 2 UFC fights by TKO, punching out Jason Day and striking out Charles McCarthy. Michael Bisping’s only loss in his UFC career was during UFC 78, when he lost a split decision to Rashad Evans. Had Michael Bisping won that match against Rashad Evans, perhaps he could’ve been the top contender to go up against Chuck Liddell and maybe even be the one to score the KO against the iceman. But, of course, that didn’t happen, and Michael Bisping will have to go through Chris Leben.
Chris Leben has an 18-4 MMA record, going 3-3 in his last 6 fights. He got KOed by Anderson Silva in UFC Ultimate Fight Night 5. He got submitted by Jason Macdonald in UFC 66. Then, he lost a unanimous decision against Kalib Starnes in UFC 71. However, he’s won 2 in a row, including a very impressive KO against Terry Martin in UFC Fight Night 11 and a really impressive TKO against Alessio Sakara in UFC 82, winning him also the KO of the night honors.
Michael Bisping and Chris Leben were scheduled to fight on UFC 85, but Chris Leben was arrested for an earlier charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was sentenced to 35 days in jail for violating his probation, and thus cancelled the fight.
If Chris Leben can remain sober, then perhaps he might have a chance in defeating Michael Bisping, who is in awesome shape.
MMA and UFC oddsmakers have put the odds in favor of Michael Bisping to win over Chris Leben.

UFC 87: Seek and Destroy just concluded today, and among the highlight matches of UFC 87 was
Brock Lesnar winning over
Heath Herring. Of course, the main event was a UFC Welterweight Championship bout between current champions
Georges St. Pierre against
Jon Fitch. Georges St. Pierre dominated the fight that lasted 5 full rounds. Jon Fitch was a definite warrior and survivor, but just really couldn’t muster much against Georges St. Pierre, who successfully defends his UFC Welterweight championship.
Anyway, UFC 87 is history, and we now move on to UFC 88: Breakthrough which will be held on September 6, 2008 at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The main event for UFC 88 will be a light heavyweight bout between Chuck Liddell vs Rashad Evans.
Chuck Liddell is the favorite to win against Rashad Evans, considering his reputation as one of the most exciting MMA fighters in the UFC. However, a look into the MMA record of Chuck Liddell reveals that he has a 21-5 record, losing 2 of his last 3 fights to the likes of Quinton Jackson and Keith Jardine. Chuck Liddell’s reputation is still strong, and he’s booked big wins against the likes of Randy Couture (twice!) and Tito Ortiz (twice) throughout his career. Chuck Liddell’s most recent victory was against Wanderlei Silva during UFC 79, but it wasn’t won with the flair and knockout power Chuck Liddell has been known for.
Meanwhile, Rashad Evans does not have a loss in his MMA record, and remains undefeated. The only blemish in the MMA career of Rashad Evans was a draw with Tito Ortiz during UFC 73. The last win of Rashad Evans was an unconvincing split decision agisnt Michael Bisping in UFC 78. Perhaps, it was the lack of firepower from his last two fights that has made Rashad Evans the underdog against Chuck Liddell despite still being unbeaten.
Of course, all will be settled in The Octagon during UFC 88 at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, come September.
Other bouts available for betting on UFC 88: Breakthrough include:
And still there are more fights in UFC 88.

UFC 87: Seek and Destroy is set to explode at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 9, 2008. Among the big matches to watch out for include: Chris Wilson vs Steve Bruno, Cheick Kongo vs Dan Evensen, Jason MacDonald vs Demian Maia, Manny Gamburyan vs Rob Emerson, Brock Lesnar vs Heath Herring and Kenny Florian vs Roger Huerta.
Of course, the main event of UFC 87: Seek and Destroy is a UFC Welterweight title bout between UFC Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre vs Jon Fitch. Georges St. Pierre has an impressive 16-2 MMA record, posting huge wins against the likes of Matt Hughes (twice!), BJ Penn, Sean Sherk, Josh Koscheck and Matt Serra.
Meanwhile, Jon Fitch has a 19-2 MMA record. His two losses occurred earlier in his career back in 2002. Since July 2003, Jon Fitch has not lost a bout, and is on a very remarkable 15-bout win streak. In that 15 win streak, Jon Fitch has defeated the likes of Josh Burkman, Thiago Alves, Kuniyoshi Hironaka, Luigi Fioravanti, Roan Carneiro, Diego Sanchez and Chris Wilson.
Odds makers are considering Georges St. Pierre as the favorite to win against Jon Fitch. However, Jon Fitch hasn’t tasted a loss in 5 years while Georges St. Pierre suffered a recent loss last year to Matt Serra when Georges St. Pierre lost his title.

UFC 87: Seek & Destroy
Brock Lesnar vs Heath Herring
Initially, former WWE champion and former New Japan World Wrestling champion Brock Lesnar was supposed to fight former UFC heavyweight champion Mark Coleman for Brock Lesnar’s second UFC bout. However, Mark Coleman suffered an injury and Heath Herring stepped in to go up against Brock Lesnar.
Brock Lesnar lost his first UFC fight to Frank Mir via submission, but is now determined to avenge his loss with a win against UFC veteran Heath Herring. UFC oddsmakers pick Brock Lesnar as the favorite over Heath Herring when they square off at UFC 87: Seek and Destroy, which will be held at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota - the home town of Brock Lesnar.
Heath Herring has won 2 of his last 4 UFC matches with the most recent win being a split decision over Check Kongo.
Bet on Brock Lesnar vs Heath Herring in UFC 87: Seek and Destroy.

Quinton Jackson vs Forrest Griffin for the UFC Light Heavyweight World Championship Title!
Quinton Jackson puts his UFC Light Heavyweight title on the line for a second time after successfully defending his title against Dan Henderson a few months ago. This time, Forrest Griffin will hope to win the title against Quinton Jackson, but might have a very difficult time doing so.
Forrest Griffin has had much success in the UFC since he came out as the champion of The Ultimate Fighter 1 against Stephen Bonnar, and then Forrest Griffin came out with another very impressive win against Mauricio Rua, one of the few fighters who defeated Quinton Jackson. That may give Forrest Griffin the mental edge in thinking that he was able to defeat a fighter who defeated Quinton Jackson.
However, Quinton Jackson has the confidence of being the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, and he has also booked some very impressive wins on his way to claiming the title, including a KO over Chuck Liddell and a unanimous decision over Dan Henderson.
UFC 86 odds makers are putting Quinton Jackson as a favorite to win over Forrest Griffi. In fact, UFC 86 betting experts are also predicting that Quinton Jackson will win via a KO in the second or third round of the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship match against Forrest Griffin.
Forrest Griffin may have a fighting chance if the fight goes the distance of five rounds, considering that Forrest Griffin might have better endurance and stamina, but then that’s if he can withstand the early onslaught of Quinton Jackson’s explosive power.
Bet on Forrest Griffin vs Quinton Jackson for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship.

Mixed martial arts fighter Brandon Vera was the oddsmakers’ favorite going into his MMA match against Fabricio Werdum during UFC 85: Bedlam at the 02 Arena in London, England, just recently. However, Fabricio Werdum mounted Brandon Vera, and with just a few seconds remaining in the round, the referee stopped the fight with the thought that Brandon Vera wasn’t intelligently defending himself. Well, Brandon Vera suffered an upset, and was also equally very upset at the decision. UFC fans booed the referee, and Brandon Vera was clearly agitated with the outcome.
Nevertheless, the referee’s decision stood its ground, and Fabricio Werdum was declared the winner. During the post match interview, Fabricio Werdum said some things in Portugese, which translated to something like - “Brandon Vera was saying stop! Stop! Stop!” suggesting that Brandon Vera was crying like a baby to the pounding of Fabricio Werdum.
Of course, Brandon Vera said, “That’s BULLSHIT!”
Well, I guess we can expect a rematch between Brandon Vera vs Fabricio Werdum probably in UFC 87 or in UFC 88. UFC fans will just have to wait.
UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin!
Meanwhile, UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin is coming soon, and
UFC 86 will be featuring no less than a title bout between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs Forrest Griffin. Quinton Jackson and Forrest Griffin were both coaches on The Ultimate Fighter TV series, which featured Team Rampage vs Team Forrest, so this should be an awesome fight. At stake in UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin will be the light heavyweight title of Quinton Jackson.
UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin will be held on July 5, 2008 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Other fights in the card include:
Patrick Cote vs Ricardo Almeida, Joe Stevenson vs Gleison Tibau, Josh Koschecj vs Christ Lytle, Tyson Griffin vs Marcus Aurelio, Gabriel Gonzaga vs Justin McCully and more.
