Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins +2
The Buffalo Bills are one of the top teams of the AFC with an impressive 5-1 record. The Miami Dolphins are 2-4, and are performing a little better than the previous NFL season, but I believe they don’t have what it takes to overcome the Buffalo Bills. The Buffalo Bills also have one of the NFL’s best defense, and will look to make use of that on the road against the Miami Dolphins. Bet on the Buffalo Bills to win.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys -2
The
Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 5-2, and are performing much better than the
Dallas Cowboys, who have a 4-3 record. The Dallas Cowboys have one of the NFL’s best offensive teams in terms of passing and yards covered, but lack the defense to help their offense out. Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys can score, but they can also be scored on. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are among the top 10 offensive teams throughout the NFL, and have an equally balanced defense that doesn’t allow that many points, and thus the huge number on the win column of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Certainly, it’ll be different at the home field of the Dallas Cowboys. Bet on Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win.
Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles -9
The Philadelphia Eagles haven’t been as strong as they are expected, going 3-3 so far this season. The Atlanta Falcons have a better record with 4-2, but are underdogs against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Atlanta Falcons will be hoping to extend their win streak to 3 games while the Philadelphia Eagles will be looking for their second straight win. Undoubtedly, the Philadelphia Eagles have what it takes to pull off a win, but it’s most unlikely that they’ll cover the 9-point spread. Bet on Atlanta Falcons to win against the spread.
St. Louis Rams at New England Patriots -7
The N ew England Patriots may not have NFL MVP Tom Brady as quarterback this season, but Matt Cassel has been able to still hold things together for the New England Patriots, who are 4-2 this season. The St. Louis Rams haven’t been as successful with a 2-4 record. However, the St. Louis Rams are on a two-game win streak, and seem to have found a rhythm to improve their record. Of course, it’ll be difficult for the St. Louis Rams to earn that win on the road against the New England Patriots, but certainly they can keep it close against the spread. Bet on St. Louis Rams to win.
Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers -4
The
Carolina Panthers are 5-2 while the
Arizona Cardinals are 4-2. Both have been pretty successful so far, and this game proves to be an excellent match-up with two of the top ten teams of the NFL. The Arizona Cardinals are on a two-game win streak and look to make it three wins in a row, but they’ll certainly have a difficult time doing that against the Carolina Panthers who have won all their 4 games at home. The Carolina Panthers have been so successful at home that the 4-point spread looks like it will be easily covered. Bet on Carolina Panthers.
Washington Redskins at Detroit Lions +7.5
The
Detroit Lions have a horrible NFL record at 0-6, and will certainly look to book their first win of the season when they host the
Washington Redskins. Of course, that won’t be such an easy task as the Washington Redskins have proven to be one of the top teams in the NFL this season with a record of 5-2 so far. Perhaps the Detroit Lions might have some success with a win against the spread even if they lose out their 7th in a row. Bet on Detroit Lions to win against the spread.
Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars -7
The Jacksonville Jaguars are at 3-3, which is a much better record than the Cleveland Browns, who are at 2-4. The Cleveland Browns are coming from a loss while the Jacksonville Jaguars are coming from a win, and will look to keep that streak going with the home field advantage. However, the Cleveland Browns defense has better stats than the Jacksonville Jaguars offense despite having a worse record. Of course, despite that, the Cleveland Browns haven’t been as successful in scoring and thus they haven’t book as many wins. Bet on Cleveland Browns to win against the spread.

4 weeks of NFL football have passed, and while I missed giving betting picks for the NFL Week 4, I woud’ve been able to tell you to bet on
Buffalo Bills and
Tennessee Titans.
As it stands, the Buffalo Bills are at the top of the AFC East with a perfect 4-0 record. Likewise, the Tennessee Titans are also 4-0, leading the AFC South.
Early AFC favorites were the New England Patriots, but a serious injury suffered by star quarterback and NFL MVP Tom Brady will keep him out of the entire season, and making it more difficult for the Pats to be the solid force they were predicted to be.
In the NFC, defending Super Bowl champions New York Giants have a perfect 3-0 record, and got a bye on Week 4 to leave their record untainted.
Early NFC favorites Dallas Cowboys suffered a dramatic loss to the W ashington Redskins during Week 4, and go to 3-1 just behind the Washington Redskins in the NFC East who are also 3-1, but lead by point difference.
A quick look at the team stats of the NFL show that the Denver Broncos have the number one ranked offense, and the Buffalo Bills are not even among the top 10. Even the Tennessee Titans are ranked even further down. However, despite what the stats site about passing yards per game and rushing yards per game, what counts the most is the number on the win column, and the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans have a good standing there.
In fact, the stat that counts the most is in scoring, and the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans are ranked in the top 5 of the AFC in scoring.
In the upcoming Week 5 of the NFL, the Buffalo Bills will try to remain unbeaten when they visit the Arizona Cardinals while the Tennessee Titans host the Baltimore Ravens.

If you were considering the New England Patriots as an early market bet to win the 2009 AFC Championship, or at least to earn a trip to Super Bowl XLIII, well you may just kiss that sports betting investment good-bye and consider a different choice.
Firstly, New England Patriots’ star quarterback Tom Brady will be out of the entire 2008-09 NFL regular season and 2009 NFL Playoffs, following a serious knee injury suffered during their season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. While the New England Patriots’ back-up quarterback Matt Cassel managed to still bring a 17-10 win for the New England Patriots over the Kansas City Chiefs, there are many doubts that Matt Cassel has what it takes to lead the New England Patriots to the Super Bowl XLIII.
Matt Cassel didn’t perform as well as New England would’ve liked during the pre-season, where the New England Patriots lost all their pre-season football games.
The New England Patriots are hoping to sign in free-agent quarterback Chris Simms, but no significant breaking news has yet to be offered.
Also, if you put an early market bet on Tom Brady to become the 2009 NFL MVP, then you might as well bet on something to make up for that losing bet.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if the Buffalo Bills win the AFC East after they showed a dominant performance against the Seattle Seahawks in a 34-10 victory.
The New York Jets, especially since they have Brett Favre as their starting quarterback, are also looking good to win the AFC East.
However, winning the AFC East is one thing and winning the entire AFC Championship to reach Super Bowl XLIII is a totally different thing altogether. With the New England Patriots possibly out of contention without Tom Brady, then perhaps the AFC might be represented by the likes of the Indianapolis Colts or the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII.

Here are some expert betting picks for Week 1 of the 2008-09 NFL regular season:
Washington Redskins at New York Giants -3.5
Super Bowl XLII Champions New York Giants aren’t being given much respect this season, but I believe the New York Giants have got a lot of fight in them, and the Washington Redskins will be their first victim en route to another Super Bowl appearance. Bet on New York Giants to cover the spread against Washington Redskins. Bet on total score of Washington at New York to go UNDER 40.5.
Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens -1
Bet on Baltimore Ravens to cover the spread against Cincinnati Bengals. Bet on total score of Cincinnati at Baltimore to go UNDER 39.0.
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins +3
Brett Favre is QB of the New York Jets, and the Miami Dolphins may not be as lousy as they were last season, but expect the New York Jets to win against the Miami Dolphins. It’s simple - Brett Favre is the QB of the New York Jets, and he’s the best QB in NFL history! Bet on New York Jets to cover the spread against the Miami Dophins. Bet on total score of New York Jets at Miami to go UNDER 36.0.
Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots -16.5
The New England Patriots look like the best team in the NFL on paper, but then that all depends on the questionable health of star quarterback Tom Brady, who might not be fully recovered from his foot injury. Houston Texans at Pittsburgh Steelers -6.5

AFC EAST SHOWDOWN! New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills +16.5
There is no doubt that the undefeated AFC Eastern Division New England Patriots will still remain undefeated after Week 11 of the 2007-08 NFL regular season. The AFC Eastern Division Buffalo Bills, who have a 5-4 NFL record this season, are an easy target for the New England Patriots, who will surely improve their NFL record to 10-0. However, can the New England Patriots cover a +16.5 point spread?
Undoubtedly, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Randy Moss are one of the most successful passing tandems and are capable of delivering a lot of touchdowns. However, 17 points at the home field of the Buffalo Bills is no easy task. The Buffalo Bills defense is among the top 10 of the NFL, only allowing an average of 18.4 points per game. Of course, the New England Patriots are the top NFL team in scoring, averaging 39.4 points per game. By the numbers and averages, it seems that Tom Brady and the New England Patriots can cover the spread, but the Buffalo Bills have been strong the past few weeks and are not to be underestimated.
The New England Patriots have a 7W-1L-1D record against the spread while the Buffalo Bills are 6w-2L-1D against the spread. Definitely, the Patriots vs. Bills showdown will be a highly-anticipated football game for sports bettors given the impressive records of the two. However, while the New England Patriots will win, it may look like the Buffalo Bills won’t be losing by more than 16.5 points.
Betsandtips.com’s betting tip on New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills +16.5 is that the Buffalo Bills will be the smart bet for the big money.

The Week 9 NFL regular season showdown between the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts was billed as one of the biggest games of the
2007-08 NFL regular season. Two of the best NFL quarterbacks in the business: Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning! Also, both the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts entered the game with an undefeated record. The Pats were 8-0 while the Indianapolis Colts were 7-0, and someone was going to leave the game with a mark in the loss column.
Eventually, it was the New England Patriots who walked away with the win, edging out the Indianapolis Colts 24-20. The New England Patriots began the 4th quarter trailing 20-10, and Tom Brady made the plays and the passes to show why he is one the of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, scoring 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter to wrap up the game at 24-20. The Indianapolis Colts had their offensive opportunity squandered when Peyton Manning was stripped off the ball by the Patriots defense.
Oddsmakers gave a New England Patriots @ Indianapolis Colts +6.5 NFL betting line. With the +6 point spread going to the advantage of the Indianapolis Colts, the Pats had to win by at least 7 points. However, the final score of 24-20 doesn’t cover the spread for the Patriots, giving Indianapolis Colts sportsbettors the win in terms of the NFL betting line.
New England Patriots fans may feel bad about losing their bets, but they’ll be delighted to know that the New England Patriots are undefeated 9-0. The New England Patriots hope to achieve a perfect 14-0 NFL regular season record. The last time an NFL football team went 14-0 for the NFL regular season was the 1972 Miami Dolphins. The quarterback for the 1972 Miami Dolphins was Bob Griese.
The New England Patriots will have a bye on Week 10 of the 2007-08 NFL Regular Season along with the Houston Texans, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the NY Jets. The next match for the New England Patriots will be on Week 11 when they visit the Buffalo Bills, who have a 4-4 NFL record. The Buffalo Bills will still have to play the Miami Dolphins, who have an 0-8 NFL record on Week 10. The Buffalo Bills might have a 5-4 record when they face the New England Patriots, considering that they are favorites to win against the winless Miami Dolphins on Week 10.
Meanwhile, The Indianapolis Colts hope to get back to winning form when they visit the San Diego Chargers on Week 10 of the 2007-08 NFL regular season.
