The Boston Celtics were handed their first loss of the season by the Orlando Magic, ending their 8-game win streak since the start of the
2007-08 NBA regular season back in October. The Boston Celtics are now 8-1, and the Orlando Magic improve their NBA record to 9-2, the 2nd best record in the Eastern Conference just behind the Boston Celtics.
The Boston Celtics have their all-star trio of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett while the Orlando Magic have their own star trio with Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu. Definitely, with these top NBA stars, the top two teams of the NBA’s Eastern Conference - the Orlando Magic & the Boston Celtics - would have an awesome showdown when they competed at the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida.
It was a close game all throughout, and eventually it was the Orlando Magic who were able to hold off the 4th quarter charge of the Boston Celtics to win it 104-102.
Orlando Magic star center Dwight Howard led the Magic with 24 points, backed up by 22 points from Rashard Lewis, 18 points from Jameer Nelson and 16 from Hedo Turkoglu, including a three-pointer to seal the game against the Boston Celtics.
The Boston Celtics were led by Paul Pierce’s game-high 28 points and Ray Allen’s 19 points, but they needed Kevin Garnett to do better than his 14 points and game-high 11 rebounds. However, Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett was in foul trouble, and even fouled out in the last minute. Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo was hot and scored 18 points in 8-of-9 shooting from the field, but the Boston Celtics effort was not enough to get past the Orlando Magic.
Oddsmakers put the betting line as: Boston Celtics at Orlando Magic +2. Certainly, the Orlando Magic didn’t need the +2 point spread in order for the Orlando Magic bets to win.
The Boston Celtics hope to put this 1 loss behind them, and get back on the winning streak again when they host Baron Davis and the Golden State Warriors at the Boston Garden on Wednesday, November 21, followed by another home game against NBA arch-rivals Los Angeles Lakers, led by all-star Kobe Bryant on Friday, November 23.
The Orlando Magic extend their win streak to 4 games, and hope to continue the streak when they go on the road to visit Tyson Chandler and the New Orleans Hornets on Monday, November 19, followed by a visit to Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, November 21.

Good defense by the Orlando Magic drama boys, if only we could patch up the difference, this will be a Orlando good season. They are running, switching in defense, rebounding see those efforts. We don’t have yet the Magic team down.
