A huge 93-91 away victory by the Los Angeles Lakers over the 2007 NBA Champions San Antonio Spurs at San Antonio, Texas, has given the Los Angeles Lakers a 3-1 edge on their best-of-seven NBA Western Conference Finals series. Kobe Bryant led the Los Angeles Lakers with 28 points and 10 rebounds during the pivotal Game 4 win at San Antonio. Tim Duncan had a game-high 29 points and 17 rebounds for the losing San Antonio Spurs.

Game 5 of the best-of-seven series will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, where the Los Angeles Lakers have not lost a playoff game. Of course, the defending champions San Antonio Spurs cannot be counted out just yet, but definitely they will have to overcome the challenge of beating the Los Angeles Lakers in LA in order to force a Game 6 at San Antonio, and if the San Antonio Spurs can win Game 6, then it will force a do-or-die Game 7 for the Western Conference Finals to be played in Los Angeles.

However, the San Antonio Spurs have yet to look to the very important Game 5 in order to stay alive in the 2008 NBA Playoffs. The odds are favoring the Los Angeles Lakers to win the series on Game 5.
