The key players in the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants match-up are the two quarterbacks.
New York Giants‘ Eli Manning was 20 of 27 passes for 185 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions last week against Tampa Bay. Manning had five TD’s and three interceptions against Dallas this season.
Dallas Cowboys‘ Tony Romo loves playing against the Giants. He had 8 TD’s and threw only two interceptions against them this season. The Cowboys would sure like to get their offense going again. They went 2-2 in December games and didn’t score a TD in two of those games. Amazingly enough, the Cowboys and Giants have never met in the playoffs.

Ohio State Buckeyes at Louisiana State Tigers - 3.5The No. 1 ranked
Ohio State Buckeyes looked to be in top form early in the first quarter when Ohio State’s Chris Wells rushed for a 65-yard touchdown plus a field goal to lead 10-0 against the No.2 ranked
LSU Tigers. However, LSU Tigers QB
Matt Flynn got his groove on and led the LSU offense to score the next 31 points with Flynn passing TDs to Richard Dickson, Brandon LaFell and Early Doucet.
In the second half, Ohio State tried to gain some ground, but the LSU defense & special teams forced a lot of turnovers, including key receptions and a blocked field goal attempt. Eventually, the 2 touchdown throws by Ohio State’s QB Todd Boeckman gave a small glimmer of hope, but it was LSU QB Matt Flynn’s TD pass to Richard Dickson which finally broke the back of Ohio State, and kept the final scoreline at 38-24.
LSU’s U.S. College Football championship is the second for the Tigers in five seasons.
While the college football season ends with the culmination of the BCS Championship game, there is still a lot of football action with the upcoming NFL Divisional Playoffs.
The NFL Divisional Playoffs will feature the following matchups, and NFL betting odds:
Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Pakcers -8
Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots -13
San Diego Chargers at Indianapolis Colts -8.5
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys -7.5

The Bucks are the underdogs against the powerhouse LSU team for all the marbles, the 2008 BCS national championship.
The Buckeyes ARE playing for a national title on January 7 in the 2008 AllState BCS Championship Game , unlike the rest of Miami’s teams that can’t do anything right but suck their own balls come game time.
And in case you still didn’t get that, I’ve been a Buckeye fan for a long time now and will be rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes against the LSU Tigers a few days from now. That’s considering the fact that the national championship game will be played on the Tigers’ turf, den if you will, in New Orleans.
This will be the second consecutive trip for the Ohio State Buckeyes to the BCS national championship game. And in case you missed it, the Florida Gators beat the Buckeyes the last time they were here and I reckon it’ll be Ohio State’s BOWL GAME this time.
Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Jim Tressel led the Buckeyes to yet another dominant campaign, finishing with the 11-1 stand this season. That’s a 73-15 conference record, 208-72-2 overall in 22 seasons, including the 2003 BCS National Championship. Ohio State claimed the Big 10 Title for the second straight year, winning the title outright with a 14-3 victory over Michigan in the regular season finale on November 17.
The LSU Tigers , on the other hand, are having a terrific year as well.
The No.2 ranked LSU Tigers have a 11-2, 6-2 in the SEC, leading them to their second straight appearance in New Orleans for a BCS Bowl game and will play for the BCS National Championship for the second time in four years.
LSU Tigers head coach Les Miles led LSU to a 33-6 record 61-27 in seven seasons as a head coach and guided the Tigers to their first conference title in four years with a 21-14 win over Tennessee in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta on December 1.
This will be just the third meeting between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the LSU Tigers, playing a home-and-home series in 1987 and 1988. The two teams played to a 13-all tie on Sept. 26, 1987 in Baton Rouge.
This will be Ohio State’s fourth Bowl appearance in New Orleans, where the Buckeyes are 1-2.
The LSU Tigers will make its fourth Bowl appearance in New Orleans this decade and 14th overall. The Tigers are 6-7 in Bowl games in the Crescent City, and have won their last three games.

New Mexico Bowl betting odds: Nevada Wolf Pack at New Mexico Lobos -2.5
New Mexico Lobos will host the
Nevada Wolf Pack on December 22 in the
New Mexico Bowl at the University Stadium.
The New Mexico Lobos finished with 8-4 this year, marking just the fourth time since 1965 that they have won eight games. New Mexico Lobos receiver Travis Brown admits there was some disappointment that the team will remain on campus rather than travel to a more prestigious bowl. “In a sense, we felt we should have had a — for lack of a better word — a better bowl game, but we’re all happy to be here. We would have loved to have been in San Diego or Las Vegas, but we’re here.” New Mexico Lobos receiver Travis Brown said.
Led by New Mexico Lobos quarterback Donovan Porterie and leading New Mexico Lobos rusher Rodney Ferguson. Lobos’ quarterback Donovan Porterie completed 58.6 percent of his passes, throwing for 2,652 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Lobos’ rusher Rodney Ferguson rushed for 1,177 yards and 13 touchdowns on 292 carries. His 98.1 yards-per-game average was fourth best in the Mountain West Conference.
New Mexico Lobos kicker John Sullivan was one of the most consistent players for this season who became just the second New Mexico player to be named a first-team All-American. Lobos’ kicker John Sullivan who has played despite suffering from a torn ACL in his plant leg, has converted on 26 of 29 field goal attempts and 28 of 29 PATs. New Mexico Lobos kicker John Sullivan 26 field goals are the second-most in the country, and he was also perfect on nine field-goal attempts between 40-49 yards long — tied for second-best in the nation.
The Nevada Wolf Pack has a record of 6-6, Nevada Wolf Pack averaged 36.3 points 18th in the country and 488.9 yards of total offense per game, seventh highest.
Leading the Wolf Pack in offense is Nevada Wolf Pack quarterback Colin Kaepernick, the Western Athletic Conference freshman of the year. Nevada Wolf Pack quarterback Colin Kaepernick took over for Nick Graziano, who injured a tendon in his foot on Oct. 6 and was lost for the year. Graziano was 2-3 as a starter, but it was under the redshirt freshman that the Wolf Pack really showed potential.
Nevada Wolf Pack quarterback Colin Kaepernick threw for 2,038 yards, 19 touchdowns and just three interceptions in 10 total games, including nine touchdowns in his final four games. With him under center as a starter, Nevada averaged 39.1 points and 487.4 yards per game.
The Nevada Wolf Pack also has an equally dangerous running game. Nevada Wolf Pack running back Luke Lippincott ranks 17th in the country with 1,380 net yards on the ground, and his 15 rushing touchdowns tie him 16th nationally. Nevada Wolf Pack averaged 225.8 rushing yards per game — 12th in the country.
This is Nevada’s third consecutive bowl game. The Nevada Wolf Pack lost 21-20 to Miami in last year’s MPC Computers Bowl and the year before, they beat Central Florida 49-48 in overtime in the Hawaii Bowl. Overall, Nevada is 3-4 in its bowl history.
This is the third meeting between the Nevada Wolf Pack and the New Mexico Lobos. Nevada Wolf Pack won 26-7 in 1941 and the teams played to a scoreless tie the next year.

UCLA Bruins vs. BYU Cougars -5.5
The Brigham Young Cougars battles UCLA Bruins in the Las Vegas Bowl on December 22 at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.
The Brigham Young Cougars look to extend a nine-game winning streak when they face the stumbling UCLA Bruins. Considered as the one of the nation’s most balanced teams, the Brigham Young Cougars posted 458 yards of total offense per game under new Brigham Young Cougars quarterback Max Hall. Compared to the 465 it averaged during John Beck’s final campaign.
Brigham Young Cougars running back Harvey Unga was another dominant new face in Brigham Young Cougars’ attack, totaling 1,840 yards from scrimmage and 17 touchdowns in his red shirt freshman season.
Brigham Young Cougars Sophomore defensive end Jan Jorgensen leads the BYU defense after pacing the Mountain West in both quarterback sacks and tackles for losses.
Health problems and inconsistent quarterback play have hurt the UCLA Bruins all season long. “Certainly the issues of injuries came into play this year, but the concerns that have plagued us just in a general sense relate to inconsistent play.” UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero said.
The UCLA Bruins have been much more consistent in their ground game, rushing for 1,801 yards and 12 touchdowns. UCLA Bruins running back Kahlil Bell and UCLA Bruins running back Chris Markey split time at running back and combined for 1,393 yards.
UCLA Bruins is led by defensive end Bruce Davis, and in the secondary by Brown and UCLA Bruins quarterback Chris Horton is tied for 18th in the nation with 9 1/2 sacks, and has 22 over the last two seasons.

UCLA Bruins quarterback Chris Horton is second on the team with 83 tackles, and the safety forced a fumble that led to a field goal in the second quarter versus the Cougars.
UCLA Bruins is the first Pac-10 team to play in three Las Vegas Bowls, having defeated New Mexico 27-13 in 2002 and losing 24-21 to Wyoming two years later.

Florida Atlantic Owls -3.5 vs. Memphis Tigers
Florida Atlantic Owls hopes to end their season with a bang when they meet the Memphis Tigers in the New Orleans Bowl on December 21 at the Superdome.
Led by Florida Atlantic Owls head coach Howard Schnellenberger, Florida Atlantic Owls head coach Howard Schnellenberger seeks to improve to 5-0 as a head coach in bowl games, though he has not appeared in one since leading Louisville to a Liberty Bowl win over Michigan State in 1993. Owls head coach Howard Schnellenberger most notable postseason appearance was a 1983 Orange Bowl win over Nebraska that gave Miami a national championship.
Florida Atlantic Owls won their final two games of the season on the road to finish with a 6-1-conference record. Florida Atlantic Owls now look to win three straight for the first time since the 2004 season — their last in the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA).
Florida Atlantic Owls quarterback Rusty Smith was voted the Sun Belt player of the year. Owls quarterback Rusty Smith led the conference with 3,352 passing yards and a school-record 27 touchdowns while throwing only eight interceptions. Sophomore Owls quarterback Rusty Smith set a school record with 463 passing yards and five TDs in a Sept. 15 victory over Big Ten foe Minnesota.
Florida Atlantic Owls wide receiver Cortez Gent has been the beneficiary; Florida Atlantic Owls wide receiver Cortez Gent had a career-high 155 yards and a touchdown on eight catches in the conference-clinching win over Troy. Florida Atlantic Owls wide receiver Cortez Gent has 1,030 receiving yards and nine TDs in 11 games after totaling just 66 yards in nine games as a redshirt freshman last season.
Memphis Tigers (7-5) is doing the same way, heading into its fourth bowl game in five seasons and second such appearance in New Orleans. The Memphis Tigers beat Sun Belt foe North Texas 27-17 in that 2003 game, and moved to 4-1 in bowls by beating Akron 38-31 to win the 2005 Motor City Bowl in their most recent postseason appearance.
Memphis Tigers appeared they would miss out on bowl season for a second straight year after opening 2-4 this season following its 2-10 record in 2006. But, the Memphis Tigers bounced back to win five of their final six games, finishing tied for the second-best record in Conference USA at 6-2.
“What a great reward for this football team, for this team to come together the way it did this year and battle back from so many adversities; this bowl invitation is a tribute to what they have accomplished and overcome.” Memphis Tigers coach Tommy West said.
The Memphis Tigers capped the regular season by winning the longest game in school history, 55-52 in triple overtime against Southern Methodist on Nov. 24.
Memphis Tigers quarterback Martin Hankins completed 30 of 59 passes for 336 yards and a season high-tying four TD’s, including three to Memphis Tigers wide receiver Carlos Singleton in third quarter. Memphis Tigers quarterback Martin Hankins threw for 2,939 yards and 22 touchdowns in 10 games this season.

The
New Orleans Bowl may not have the hype and hoopla of many of the other bowl games but it may end up being a very competitive game on the field.
Memphis Tigers and
Florida Atlantic Owls both come into the game at 7-5. The Tigers won five of their last six games to finish 7-5 while Florida Atlantic upset Troy in their final game to finish 7-5, winning the Sun Belt Conference title. It is the first appearance ever in a bowl game for Florida Atlantic.
The problem for Memphis is a defense that is very weak. They gave up over 50 points three times in conference play. That could be a problem against a Florida Atlantic offense that averaged 36 points per game in the second half of the season. Another key according to Memphis head coach Tommy West will be special teams.
Florida Atlantic does have a head coach that most people are familiar with in Howard Schnellenberger. It was Schnellenberger that took over at Florida Atlantic seven years ago. He has made history, as Florida Atlantic made it to a bowl game faster than any other team in NCAA history. The offense is led by quarterback Rusty Smith, who led the conference in passing.
Here are the college football betting stats for Friday’s game. The Owls are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games on turf. The Owls are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite. The Owls are 4-9 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. The Owls are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 non-conference games
The Tigers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as an underdog. The Tigers are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Tigers are 15-7 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
The Over is 4-0 in the Owls last 4 games as a favorite. The Over is 7-0 in the Owls last 7 games overall. The Over is 8-2 in the Owls last 10 non-conference games. The Over is 4-1 in the Owls last 5 vs. a team with a winning record.
