McLaren-Mercedes made an appeal to the FIA to consider the disqualification of BMW Sauber for using a different kind of fuel. If that appeal is considered by FIA, then they just might exclude the points of BMW Sauber, and McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton would earn a few more points and would surpass Kimi Raikkonen to become the 2007 F1 World Champion. However, the decision is still pending, and as of now, it is Ferrari’s
Kimi Raikkonen who is indeed the F1 2007 World Champion after winning the 2007 Brazil Grand Prix.
Raikkonen was the unlikely favorite with McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso ahead in the points going into the last stage of the 2007 Formula One Season with the Brazil Grand Prix.
However, Raikkonen’s first place finish complimented with the fact that Fernando Alonso only managed a 3rd place finish behind Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, and Lewis Hamilton engaged in gear box problems to earn only a seventh place finish. In the total tally of Drivers’ Championship points, Kimi Raikkonen had 110 points to 109 points for McLaren’s Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton to earn him his first World Championship in the most exciting come-from-behind fashion.
Of the 17 legs in the 2007 Formula One season, Kimi Raikkonen won 6. Raikkonen won the Australian Grand Prix, the French Grand Prix, the British Grand Prix, the Belgian Grand Prix, the Chinese Grand Prix and the Brazilian Grand Prix. McLaren’s Fernando Alonso won 4 legs at the Malaysian Grand Prix, the Monaco Grand Prix, the European Grand Prix and the Italian Grand Prix. McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton also won 4 legs at the Canadian Grand Prix, the US Grand Prix, the Hungarian Grand Prix and the Japanese Grand Prix. Ferrari’s Felipe Massa won the other 3 remaining legs at the Bahrain Grand Prix, the Spanish Grand Prix and the Turkish Grand Prix.
Ferrari also win the 2007 Constructors’ Championships since McLaren-Mercedes were disqualified due to a very controversial “spying scandal.”

The Boston Red Sox Are the 2007 World Series Champions!
How did they get there?
In the American League Division Series between the
Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles, the Boston Red Sox swept the best-of-five series in just three games. It wasn’t that easy for the Boston Red Sox in the American League Championship Series against the Cleveland Indians, where they had to rally from 3-1 down in the best-of-seven series to clinch the American League pennant in Game 7 at Fenway Park in Boston in order to advance to the 2007 World Series.

For the National League champions Colorado Rockies, it was a fairy tale. They were close to being eliminated from the wild-card race, but somehow the Rockies made the trip to the National League Division Series and swept the Philadelphia Phillies 3-0 in the best-of-five series, and then made another 4-0 sweep against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League Championship Series to earn their first ever trip to the World Series.
However, the first outing of the Colorado Rockies in a World Series game wasn’t so encouraging as they were rocked by the Boston Red Sox 13-1 in Game One of the 2007 World Series, giving the Colorado Rockies its first ever playoff loss in 2007. Game 2 had a much closer scoreline 2-1, but it was still to the advantage of the Boston Red Sox. Game 3, the Colorado Rockies were burned 10-5. And in Game 4, the Boston Red Sox routed the Colorado Rockies 4-3 to complete the sweep of the Rockies and win their 7th World Series Title. The last time the Boston Red Sox won the World Series was in 2004 when they swept the St. Louis Cardinals. Back in 2004, the Boston Red Sox also had to overcome an 0-3 deficit against the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series.
Boston Red Sox can give credit to their Manager Terry Francona and General Manager Theo Epstein. Of course, let’s not forget the strong batting of the likes of David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, Jason Varitek, Mike Lowell, Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia. Of course, there’s also the stunning pitching from the likes of Curt Schilling, Hideki Okajima, Jonathan Papelbon and ALCS MVP Josh Beckett.
While it was unsuccessful World Series debut for the Colorado Rockies, they should still be commended for their regular season achievements, especially the last few games when they were racing for the NL wild-card slot, and of course their magnificent unblemished playoff run in the National League. Kudos to the Rookies cast which include the likes of Manager Clint Hurdle, NLCS MVP Matt Holliday, Kazuo Matsui, Todd Helton, Ryan Spilborghs, Yorvit Torrealba, Josh Fogg, Aaron Cook and Franklin Morales.
Of course, as it stands in the history books - The Boston Red Sox are the 2007 World Series Champions!

The Colts meet the Jaguars on Monday Night Football.
This is the first time this 2007-08 NFL football season that the defending Super Bowl champions Indianapolis Colts will be playing on Monday Night Football and since it’ll be against division rivals Jacksonville Jaguars, we’re in for a treat indeed.
The Indianapolis Colts are currently lording over the AFC South with a still unblemished 5-0 record.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, on the other hand, are only a game back and when they dance with the Colts this Monday night, they will be playing for the division lead.
One thing going for the Jacksonville Jaguars coming to Monday Night Football would have to be the fact that the Colts seem to have all sorts of problems every single time they meet them on the field.
Although, the Colts won seven of their last ten meetings with Jacksonville, none of them were that convincing, to say the least. The average point differential in the games the Colts beat Jacksonville is 1.3 points. And when Jacksonville does beat
Indianapolis, it represents half of the Colts’ losses in the AFC South in the past five years.
Peyton Manning knows that every time his Colts meet the Jaguars, they’re in for a war.
”It’s a tough place to play and, obviously, they are a tough team for us to play,” Peyton Manning said. ”And, believe me, we go into [this game] very aware of that. They play us hard, and they don’t give us anything. And it’s always really physical.”
Peyton Manning comes into this Monday night game only three touchdowns shy of the all-time Colts record set by Hall-of-Fame Colts QB, John Unitas, who recorded 287 TD passes with Indianapolis.

The F1 world title will be decided in Brazil as three drivers; Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen will each be hoping to become the new F1 champion of the world.
The 2007 F1 season sure has been the best year of any kind of racing I’ve seen so far as the 2007 F1 world championship will be decided in the final race of the season. That’s the 2007 Brazilian Grand Prix this Sunday as three drivers, McLaren - Mercedes teammates Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso try to win it for their team while Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari tries to snatch it away from both of them.
Lewis Hamilton, who still leads the F1 drivers’ championship standings with 107 points, probably made life a little more difficult for him in the title chase after crashing out of the 2007 Chinese Grand Prix. However, the odds are still in his favor and if no similar mishap happens to the young British sensation, he’ll become the first ever rookie to become champion in Formula One.
”I will approach the race in the same way, to win,” Lewis Hamilton says. ”Some part of my mind will be focused on the end result, winning the world championship not the race, but I go to win. I understand the position I’m in and what I have to do. I aim on finishing on the podium and know I can’t take risks. Maybe I took a risk at the last race.”
”I’ve got a lot of confidence in myself. It has to be a hard hit knowing the world championship was there and I didn’t take it but it’s still there to win. In spite of having a DNF in China I’m still in the lead and I’ve still got a good chance of winning so I’m feeling pretty cool as I’m in the best position to do that.”
”I’m mentally stronger after the weekend in China. Some drivers would be on the back foot, but I’ve taken the negatives and made them into positives.”
Lewis Hamilton only needs to finish better than Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen to win the F1 title or see both of them finish no better than 5th place.
Who will win the 2007 F1 championship? Bodog has the odds.
Kimi Raikkonen 7/4
Fernando Alonso 7/4
Lewis Hamilton 9/2
